A shared architecture that does not require additional file-system software for sharing
Sharing a disk among multiple hosts in traditional architectures typically requires specialized file systems, NFS/CIFS, or SAN-sharing solutions. In network-based designs, the sharing server can become a bottleneck, while dedicated SAN solutions introduce additional complexity, licensing costs, and specialized network infrastructure.
Xendure provides its own file system and client for operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and macOS.
With the Xendure client, the Xendure file system appears to multiple hosts like a local disk. This reduces the need to share the file system over the network, purchase separate file-system software, or build a dedicated sharing infrastructure.
