Choose between maximum performance and maximum storage density with 12- or 36-drive nodes
In conventional architectures, the number of disks supported by a controller is limited, and the controller itself can become a system bottleneck.
Xendure is distributed, so capacity and performance increase as nodes are added. Two node configurations—12 drives in 2U and 36 drives in 4U—allow the system to be optimized for either performance or storage density.
For example, a 42U rack can accommodate ten 36-drive nodes for 360 drives, or twenty 12-drive nodes for 240 drives. Deployment can also start with fewer nodes and grow by adding either 12- or 36-drive nodes as requirements increase.
